I've read up to chapter 53 and think that's probably enough to give a review. I can't tell if I'll finish or drop yet because this novel keeps switching between a 3.5/5 and a 2/5 for me mostly due to the author's writing style and character design. A lot of the main characters think, talk, and act in this sarcastic and quippy manner that feels like they learned to be human from TV shows. If they aren't doing that they are acting super serious and annoyed at the joking of their comrades. Descriptions use tons of italicization, are long winded, and sometimes include large amounts of swearing. I don't mind swearing, especially if it's part of dialogue and fits in, but the way it's used highlights this annoying personality that fills the entire novel and all it's characters. This writing style is not always present, sometimes it feels like I'm reading a normal novel and when that happens I'm enjoying it. I think the power system and the premise itself is quite interesting and I want to see how Isaac tries to do everything right. It's too bad that every time I read a chapter I will inevitably get hit with this unpleasant writing style that stops my enjoyment in it's tracks.
I would've had made the same review. It does feel, too often that I'm reading a script of "Brooklyn nine-nine", then all of a sudden I'm hit with "House of cards" style dialogue. At least the author/editor and translator wasn't Chinese - it's one of the only upsides of the novel(if you know what I mean). The other upside is the system, it one of the least use ones, yet also the best (i don't know why most novel don't use it).
I agree that the characters are like that.. to a certain extent.There's certainly some influence from modern Hollywood but it's not as bad as most comparable novels on here. It's nothing too strange from reality, either. In workplace settings where full professionalism isn't currently required and peers have good relationships, it's pretty normal to get quippy with each other.Even in social professional settings it's not unusual to show off your wit when permissible. It's only when you're stuck with stuffy, no-fun-allowed bosses, colleagues and office policies that any attempt at humor or cleverness is gone. But that shit is just oppressive and inevitably unhealthy for mental health. It is, however, accurate to have a random smattering of them across the workplace. On a similar vein, the 'switch' to seriousness and descriptive is also a common phenomenon in professional settings. In a healthy professional environment there is a time and place for both the serious and non-serious. Especially with true professionals who have a passion for their job. There's both a need to be efficient to save time and attention span, and a need to be accurate and sufficiently verbose to reduce the chance of creating misunderstandings. And sometimes it's a necessity for the explainer themself, to maintain their train of thought when covering a complex topic.Anyway it's a balancing act that most people fail at, and novelists aren't immune to it either.... but in my opinion this author is actually one of the better ones.Keep in mind that the main character and his colleagues are university staff (with the additional task of teaching the public), so it's their job to explore the 'science' of the system more in-depth than a specialized combatant... which the vast majority of action fiction MC are.If you're unfamiliar with the social environments in higher education and the career paths stemming from it (pun unintended), this novel might seem a bit much.But rather than that making it a bad novel, that simply means you're not the intended audience.And that's fine. No novel is perfect for all audiences, and ironically the most popular stuff tends to neglect the vicarities of those most suited for higher learning careers. After all, the most common points of relation among the populace are rather... below average in intellectual requirements.That's why modern media tends to feel rather... dumb more often then not.

Pretty good, though it has its' flaws. Point of interest: the author seems to have some mild dyslexia or something similar. Words seem to appear and disappear where you'd normally expect them to be, or not be.It makes it a little hard to read sometimes but it's still readable. Kunda hilarious though, sometimes.

A unique take on the prevent apocalypse with future memories trope, usually you have a mc power creeping his growth and strenght to crush all problems by himself, not this guy, he understands that he has better chances of fixing the future by slowly making people aware of how maliciously the system is made rather than farming for power.The system allows to easily summon monsters to kill for exp, but many summons can screw you over easily, and if no one else kills them in time, monsters will start to summon new monsters in a snowballing effect, under that premise, divulging information from a research team to the masses is an effective and unique of fighting the apocalypse, and not as a full time researcher, he is strong enough to personally go and prevent many calamities.In short you have a mc that sees personal strenght and research divulgation as both equally important instead of being hyperfocused on his growth alone, its worth a try.and as a minor note, if you are very tired of american or asian names/places everywere then you may enjoy some german.

But the key idea, the basis, I would say, is completely wrong.Strength is king. Everything else is unimportant. The protagonist should first of all achieve crushing power and then waste time on all sorts of nonsense.Particularly funny is the participation of a certain professor in the research group. What exactly did he forget in this group? What can he get from them that can compensate for the waste of time and loss of level?Whatever it is, it's not worth it.

Story isn’t bad, but the pace is simply too slow. Felt that things were moving quickly in the beginning with the MC making so many plans and actually following through with them in an efficient manner, but after chapter 100 or so things begin to stagnate. After that point it’s simply the MC in his lab researching serums and the continuous recruitment of women to his team. Things took a turn when the outbreak finally occurs, but even that has been stretched for several dozen chapters. They still remain in the same city and have yet to leave. Simply feels like things aren’t headed anywhere.

I give up (chapter 27). The MC is literally mentally ill, he has a fcked up episodes of hallucination that are essentially first 8 chapters. SpoilerThe world he is in is one with immortals. He is in a small "sect". Badically, there is an old guy who practices immortal way, there are also 6 disciples and the rest, which is some crippled people, is materials for pills. Our glorious main character starts off as a pill material. As I already mentioned above, he lives in a world in his head and is just insane. It only makes me think that he is mentally weak, because that's the only thing that comes to my mind after hearing of this attempt to escape the reality. He is an idiot that burns potentially useful scriptures just becsuse he wants to start a new chapter in his life. Surprise, after burning the books, and who know what else, down he decides it's a perfect time to stop taking my med that was keeping me down to earth! He tries to run away from all his problems that are solved. HE SOLVED THEM ALL AND NOE HE WANTS TO GO BACK TO HIS IMAGINARY FANILY AND GIRLFRIEND, WHILE HE SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN A HOSPITAL, BECAUSE EVEN IN HIS IMAGINATION, HE IS MENTALLY ILL.Could've been a good novel, but unfortunately it's just another waste of time and nerves.1/5

Kill to get farming skills. Farm to get killing skills. Concept isn't new, as many games use exactly that system to balance out their activities, but seeing it implemented into a litRPG is ridiculous(in a good way). Read 20 chapters now, will update when read till ongoing.
Alright. 1st problem. There really wasn't any need to start from the middle. We have a character with established bonds, skills, equipment. Well, everything else. If someone dies, something breaks, skill doesn't work, reader won't feel anything. Because we know nothing about them and really do not care about that stuff. That makes a dissonance with main character as he cares for his friends, relies on his skills and army and is attached to things.The stories that start from the middle are quite popular in Korea but they often are different. There are some tricks to avoid this issue:1. Regression (FFF class trashero as an example but there are many others) - reestablish bonds anew, describe what MC thinks about a character from the previous regression. His previous experience, etc. And everything repeats itself again since it's a regression so plenty of time to make a bond again.2. Time skip away from people (The player who returned 10000 years later, The return of the disaster class hero) - 1st is easy since the guy was sent to hell for super long time and had no connections on Earth before returning. As for 2nd, he had bonds, yes but many things changed in 20 years. Also, MC is eccentric so his care for the bonds is kinda unique. The start from the middle is even used for some juicy flashbacks at the end of the novel and some side stories. In conclusion, this novel barely did anything to access this issue unlike most others do.
The first 80 chapters are good and interesting, but after them Chinese nonsense and stupid clichés begin.
The story is pretty good. Mathew found himself in a new world and is no using a full [System]. He is a little lost, but making due and starts getting power by farming.But the world is about to fall into chaos, because reasons. Also so many typos.

I feel like I'm watching a novel about "The Witcher", the whole feeling is about a really adventurous protagonist.He doesn't have a clear goal at the beginning, other than to get stronger, saving the words from completing an adventure.The unfolding of the story shows us a guy who carries out missions in a city, meets people and leaves soon after, like a true pilgrim adventurer. There is no such thing as a "steady companion" or the possible creation of a mercenary group seeking power. Just a wandering adventurer.Spoiler about the development: SpoilerHe becomes the "champion" of a Goddess and seeks to annihilate an Evil God, to protect himself and because he believes that this is the answer that represents a "true adventure" and the way to return to his world. He is not a true man of faith.If you like D&D, The Witcher, or adventure classics, this is for you. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a refreshing read. Read a few chapters a day for a better experience.
Honestly, it's a very good read. We are thrown into mc's new world without any information at first but I really like the character we have seen so far and how the story slowly progresses. A solid 9/10 novel that doesn't require too much thought to enjoy.

Story of an attention grabber, how Korean?
Well since there aren’t any reviews here that explain anything about the story and neither does the synopsis, I’ll try to explain a little from what I’ve read. What I’m writing in this first spoiler tag shows up in the first few chapters and is basic information that can get u hooked so I wouldn’t call them a spoiler, but the spoiler tags at the end are a little bigger types of spoilers. Anyway,Spoiler the mc basically dies cruelly without getting any help from his ‘comrades’ in an apocalypse setting where there are many higher beings in play. The mc gets reincarnated as one of these higher beings. Next I’ll explain the different types of beings before I go on. -Among the humans there are normal humans, uncontracted humans who awakened, and contracted awakened humans. Awakened beings can use the power of ‘stories’ to gain power, and they do this by fighting in dungeon like places. They can also gain points and use these points to buy things like weapons, clothes, skills, items and so on.-Then there are a type of higher being, ‘Tellers’, who contract awakened humans and have them go into dungeons that have stories to them so they can get stronger and gradually become more famous. The Tellers livestream the experiences the human goes through in their own library, and other higher beings can watch, so the more views and donations they can get in their livestreams, the more points these Tellers get which can in turn help them promote. The humans gain points as well, just not as much if I’m not wrong. They’re all a part of a big company and at this moment we don’t know much about the higher ups. Also they have a type of protection where they can’t get attacked or killed unless a special situation, which make most of them arrogant and treat humans as lesser beings, which is technically right. -Next is basically what we understand at this moment as ‘spirits’. They’re pretty diverse, and there are many factions among them, including Pandemonium (which has beings like Satan), Eden (which has beings like angels who are against Pandemonium), as well as other myth related groups like ancient Buddhists groups, Greek gods, Norse gods, etc. There are many lower and medium spirits who make up a large number where we don’t even know how many groups there are, and they are usually the viewers of the livestreams. They usually like hero stories so the Tellers and contracted humans try to please them. But there are obviously bad groups who don’t want any good for humans, and instead want to see despair.That’s all the basic knowledge I would say without spoiling the novel for now. The mc is reincarnated as a Teller, but he’s obviously different than other Tellers as he wants to be a protagonist. (Spoiler territory)SpoilerHe even gives up his protection at one point so he can still use many privileges as a Teller but he can still die. This is because he wants to fight on the front line instead of watching from the sides. The mc also has a cheat like power Spoilerwhere he can see ‘books’ above every being which include pretty much everything about the said person. Unless the person is a much stronger and higher being than himself. Pretty self explanatory. I tried being non-bias here, and only made this review so people will know more about this novel before reading as I know there’s little information shown. I haven’t read return to player in years so I’m not sure but I think the setting is slightly similar. Also I wouldn’t say the mc in this novel was that strong, he was pretty much a follower of the ‘protagonist’ like being in his world but left to die by him in the end (this is stated in the first chapter so I wouldn’t say it’s a spoiler)
Without any bias it's an alright novel. The development of the story is fast. Very fast. Well..how the characters progress feels fast as we don't get a sense of time beside the first couple chapters. The quality of writing is...well pretty much the same as any other Translated Novel. The world background doesn't have much yet given its only 62 chapters that have been translated but it feels alright. And the character design is...kinda eh. Not really a lot to say but not a lot to praise.So a C to a C+ Rank. Without bias of course. However with bias I'd say a C+ to a B-.Go give it a shot. Oh and this isn't a good and very well thought out Review so take everything with a grain of salt. Maybe add some reviews of your own to help out or whatever

Boring. MCs abilities are boring and uninteresting. I was a little curious about the world, but not enough to read 450+ chapters to find out.
It was actually unexpectedly quite unique and a decent one to read, their is a lack of the usual chinese face slapping which was a relief (does happen everynow and then but not excessive), the pacing is steady for the most part. Overall it something that is worth reading especially if you just want to waste some time

Reading this is definitely hard without reading it's prequel 108 maidens of destiny. Not because of the story, but because of the power level. This novel didn't explain much of it and most of the info of the power will just be a lines that goes over your head. As for comparing, well 108MOD are much better but that doesn't mean this novel is bad, translation might be a bit confusing but overall, the story is entertaining.

It's hard to review this with so few chapters (11 atm) but I will give it a try (so this will be more of a first impression I guess...): It's a light academy slice-of-life story in a fantasy setting at it's heart (so far). Characters feel somewhat one dimensional and tropey, but this may be because we have so little to work with. It's very much in the world building phase, but we are being lead along as the MC discovers, so it doesn't feel like an info dump. Still it might be a little tedious to some as there isn't really that much going on at this point as each character is still being introduced.The MC is a calm and collected 'my pace' type of character, who feels little to no need to follow another's rhythm. He is challenged to start his magic carer all over again (transmigrated in a very generic way with no memory) and is forced to adapt to an unfamiliar place and situation. Given his analytic personality, this poses little problem for him as he slowly adjusts.So far I quite enjoy it as the MC just doesn't give a damn about the small-fries around him and wants to focus primarily on his passion (magic, duh...). I think I mostly comment on the MC because, well that's where most of the story is so far.I think that's all I got right now. Cheers.

Okay, yup. Although the story is about a biological warmachine learning to be a real boy, the narrative undertone is female supremecy and abuse towards men. The MC shows clear signs of being in an abusive relationship and having Stockholm Syndrome, but the symptoms were present even before he's even gotten into a relationship.It almost feels like the author grew up surrounded by and normalized to abusive female supremecy and hasn't yet realized it.I was thinking that it might be a kink thing but it feels too real. There's no special focus on it. The MC doesn't act like he's specifically seeking out that kind of stuff, not does he indulge in it. It's just a pervasive normality of women being normally horrible and nobody blinking an eye.

Bro, the novel is very good, certainly the best when we talk about horror, the only thing that surprised me was that most of the mysteries were clarified at the end of the first book (I wasn't expecting it), well, at least the mysteries we know can appear more as it continues the story. I was upset by the fact that the chapters were disorganized, imagine my surprise when I heard that there were not 299 chapters released as it was written hahaahah, book 1 and 2 is repeated.
The mystery, the struggles, and the roles people play as they try to survive the Horrors. I love it.My greatest pain is that this is too condensed and fast paced, losing out on a lot of depth as well as needed and wanted character development and bonding. It is incredibly tense and interesting as we follow through the scenarios they are put in and I want more of it, but at a more gradual pace that let's us experience Carousel and what it has to offer without feeling rushed or pushed towards the greater mysteries involved..... I said a lot when I should have just said I want more of the lesser plot related Scenarios interspersed between key nodes in the Novel, whether it's for entertainment or developing the world and characters in it.

Overall it’s really good, the pacing is the right amount for a Kingdom building story. The grammar is on the higher end compared to others of the genre; however the author’s prose is somewhat workmanlike and while it doesn’t take away from the story it doesn’t significantly improve it either. The action is also realistic, the plans hatched by the mc don't always go his way. Lucan also isn't an overly OP Mary Sue. Things are grounded and down to earth, which is something we don't see nearly enough of in this genre. Having someone who is both native to their world and not obviously "the chosen one" at the helm is a good change of pace.With proper development, to build on its solid foundations, and an earnest lead this novel has great potential that many will enjoy reading.

This definitely a underrated novel. The chapters take a while so it's quite slow but definitely enjoyable. It's basically a story of out Main character coming of age(unlocking his blessing and approaching adulthood) and his attempts to improve his noble families lands, which is where the kingdom building comes in, grow stronger, and deal with the various conflicts that come with his undertakings and position as a noble. I love the fact that the system status sheet kinda thing isn't used in the kingdom building and the main character is actually governing the land like giving orders and discussing with his father and their aides how to go about their plans. Not just that the power/skill system is really nice and theirs plenty of cool world building and history in the story as well as actual politics. The characters are also very nice and have depth. Not just that but the author includes plenty of combat and action in the story and writes fight scenes very well. I CAN NOT understate how impeccable the writing quality is of this novel is so honestly just read the damn thing already.

It would be a very good work, but Chinese nationalism just kills. Each chapter mentions China, Chinese jokes, and so on. In addition, the author writes a million Pows, there is nothing stupid with spoilers for the next chapters. why? And the main problem is the breakdown of 4 walls. This is done as poorly as possible. It's not Deadpool, it's just tin. For example, in a dialogue with his friend, the main character tells him: So I will write a book and this is the book that we are reading and then begins to explain the characters and so on. In short, complete bullshit. The idea is great, the implementation is average, but Chinese brainwashing just killed the work. Google Translate.
Actually interesting story. It really is like they are playing Cthulhu-DnD IRL. They can’t act freely, they are limited by their characters. So even when they (the player) knows something, if they (the character) doesn’t then they have to act like they don’t know. Its a disappointment. As a friendly person i suggest people save your time instead of reading thia and then drop it just because of an interesting concept.

TBH I did love the concept and overall theme of the novel. But, it got old really fast when literally every character around him is a complete a*hole who just look out for their own benefits. SpoilerI mean seriously, his own grandma seemingly working with his nemesis? His dad who made him completely unable to use magic? His mom who doesn't seem to care? Or Heather who is just needy and pushes him around? Not to mention the fact that he pretty much gets trashed in every fight he gets in.
Bro the guy acts like a complete p*say when it comes to his relationship, I mean I always disliked harem but this just bumped it up to the next level by bringing harem to a modern setting

If you read further, there is actually a thought-out reason by the author for all those things. But I still dropped it by the mid 80's.

Dude I get not like some of these authors for putting in all the just general racism/nationalism when reading Chinese novel translations but at the least give the one's that don't break that boundry some credit. When posting this the latest translated chapter was 50 and there has been no racism/nationalism so far. For f*ck sake until chapter 35 there is legit no mention of anything that even gives you the clue that he we even from China. That's why I know for a fact that Dealsu is just spewing shit because there is legit nothing else he could possibly complain about. That's like the only part of the story that had anything to do with national identity which wasn't even that forced given it complements with the story.
4/5The book is quite good. Instead of a plot, its more of a collection of small character arcs among the witches in the prison. It isn't very exciting, but the world building and characters are interesting. Overall its a pretty chill read, I can enjoy it before bed without too much excitement
