It seemed that in Liang Cao’s mind, Mu Lin… was insignificant. Or perhaps he thought women, in general, were insignificant.

“Switching partners could be an option.” This time, Ling Qi did not reprimand him, and instead seemed quite agreeable. But he did not give an immediate yes, he continued, “If you can beat Mu Lin, I’d let you switch.”

Upon hearing this, Mu Lin’s eyebrows jumped in surprise.

What’s the point of switching after they have already started?

“As long as you keep your word, Instructor.” Winning against a woman doesn’t mean winning for real, but if he had to beat her first to change his partner, then he would… make it quick to avoid people saying he bullied the newbie, or bullied a woman.

By this point, Liang Cao perhaps forgot that there were no ‘women’ here, there was only Mu Lin; he could look down on women, but he underestimated Mu Lin at his own peril.
