Chapter 114 - 114 113 Reliable Friend (Third Update)_1
?Chapter 114: Chapter 113 Reliable Friend (Third Update)_1 Chapter 114: Chapter 113 Reliable Friend (Third Update)_1 Inside the room, besides the man called Uncle Yun that he had just seen, a middle-aged woman was also standing next to him. They appeared to be a couple, both wearing a grave look on their faces.
“Xiaoqiao, we just phoned for an ambulance. I think it should arrive soon, don’t worry.” Uncle Yun said looking at Yue Qiao’s back.
He never thought that Yue Qiao would return today. However, it was good that she was here. It reassured him that their dear granddaughter would be taken care of. Their role as neighbours in this situation was secondary. If his wife hadn’t brewed some soup today hoping to nourish Grandma Yue’s health, they might have missed it entirely.
Uncle Yun felt incredibly thankful.
Observing the situation inside the house, Zhou Yicen suddenly approached Uncle Yun and asked, “May I ask when did you place the call?”
“Just now when I arrived. My wife discovered the situation and called immediately.” They hadn’t wasted a moment.
Uncle Yun watched the young man in front of him, who was dressed similarly to Yue Qiao, unsure as to why he asked this.
Zhou Yicen didn’t say much else, he turned to Yue Qiao and said, “As soon as I walked in, I already contacted our coach. It will take some time for the ambulance to get here from downtown. Plus, the traffic in B City can be bad. I suggest we take Grandma Yue to the Military Hospital. Everything there is more advanced than other hospitals.” The main reason was, of course, that Military Hospital was once Mu Lin’s territory.
After some thought, Yue Qiao agreed that they could not delay any longer. She nodded and reached out to carry Grandma Yue.
“I’ll take her.” Zhou Yicen moved to her side and took over without hesitation, walking towards the door with Grandma Yue. Yue Qiao paused for a moment before following them out, after briefly explaining the situation to Uncle Yun.
Yang Yuebin sighed and muttered, “If only Mu Lin were here.” They wouldn’t have had to waste so much time, she could have handled it right away.
Nodding in agreement, they put down what they were holding, and quickly followed Zhou Yicen and Yue Qiao out of the house.
Watching the flurry of activity, the onlookers were astonished. They were also surprised that Yue Qiao, of all people, knew so many well-off and reliable friends.
Uncle Yun watched Yang Yuebin and the others leave, nodding in approval.
The little girl who had been lonely since childhood finally had friends. That was great.
…
Elsewhere, after finishing his acupuncture session, Mu Lin initially intended to chat with Old Master Jing and stay awhile. However, he received a call from Yang Yuebin at that very moment.
“The Military Hospital? Alright, I’ll be right there.” Mu Lin responded.
“Boy, what’s wrong? Has something happened?” Master Jing asked, noting that he heard the word ‘hospital.’
After hanging up, Mu Lin turned to Old Master Jing and said: “I can no longer stay here, Master Jing. A teammate’s grandmother fainted, and they’re currently on their way to the Military Hospital. They want me to go there too, and perhaps I might be able to help.”
Even though he voiced this, Mu Lin didn’t believe his help was necessary — there were plenty of good doctors there. However, he could meet up with his colleagues on the way.
“You should hurry over there.” Upon hearing Mu Lin’s words, Master Jing concurred and then instructed Song Qi at his side, “Xiaoqi, quickly take Mu Lin there. Don’t delay.”
“Yes.” Song Qi nodded, bid farewell to Master Jing, and escorted Mu Lin as they left.
