Although there were no Dao Emperors or Sovereign realm experts in the 'Night star continent', nor was there anyone who could possibly threaten the black dragon's existence, Shun Long wasn't willing to expose Little Black just yet.

After traveling for more than half a day, Shun Long and his group finally stopped above a small city by the shore of the continent.

This city wasn't overly impressive, and was in fact, much smaller than the likes of the Heaven's Dome city at the heart of the 'Night star continent', but there was one thing that eventually attracted Shun Long's attention.

It was the shape of the city itself that resembled a giant shield, as well as the soft golden glow around its edges. It was obvious that this golden glow came from the countless protective formations around the city's walls, making the entire place resemble a gigantic golden shield.

In the next moment, Shun Long's lips curved into a faint smile as he sent his soul sense into the 'Stone of Time' and retrieved an ordinary-looking token that he had almost forgotten he still had.

The small wooden token had the word 'Cui' carved on both its front and back, and although it looked ordinary at first glance, Shun Long could tell that it had been crafted by at least a gold-grade formation master.

''Brother Shun, 'White city' is just a few thousand kilometers from here. I'm going to visit my father first and spend some time with him until we return to the central continent. You can find me in the white palace when it's time to go back.''

Bai Longtian then said his farewells to Liu Mei and Xingyi as well, before his figure turned into a blur as he shot towards the south of the 'Night star continent'.

In just a few moments, it was only Shun Long, Liu Mei, and Xingyi left in the skies above the 'Golden Shield city'.

By now, it was clear that a few Dao Kings within the city had also noticed the powerful auras looming in the skies above them, but unsurprisingly, nobody was willing to go and confront the newcomers.

''Do you want me to come with you? I can take a detour before returning to the Desolate East.''

However, Xingyi resolutely shook her head and answered, her beautiful emerald eyes staring back at him

''No, I'll be fine. This is something I have to deal with myself. I just hope that brother Long can come to me when you are done visiting your parents.''

Shun Long could sense the strong emotions hidden in Xingyi's eyes as she looked at him. He could feel the longing in her caring gaze, but he could also sense the determination she carried. Then, without waiting for a response, Xingyi threw one last glance at Liu Mei and smiled at her, before her figure dissolved into the shadows, vanishing from the skies above the 'Golden Shield city'.

Staring at the bundle of shadows that moved towards the north of the continent with incredible speed, Shun Long fell silent for a moment before eventually shaking his head.

At the end of the day, Xingyi was a peak rank 9 Dao King and an extremely powerful one, so Shun Long knew he had no reason to worry. After all, other than Bai Longtian, there was most likely no one else in the 'Night star continent' who could be her match anymore.
